Least able or willing..
I wonder if the same could apply in the UK?
with all the talk about the org's policies and failures regarding child sexual abuse being publically exposed in australia, i thought that it may be a good time to highlight this... i apologise if this has already been discussed, but on the 9th of july the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales was opened.
here is some information regarding it's aims.. "about the inquiry.
the inquiry offers an unprecedented opportunity to examine the extent to which institutions and organisations in england and wales have taken seriously their responsibility to protect children.. the inquiry will investigate a wide range of institutions including:.
BTTT
Is there even one more person on here that would like to send a brief email, in order to help the Independent Inquiry to see that there are more than a few people who are concerned about the dangerous way JW's handle child abuse cases and reappoint pedophiles to positions of trust??
Please, even just a simple email asking them to investigate the Jehovah's Witnesses..
(adding a reference or link may not make a difference, but can't do any harm)

The panel are currently considering what specific institutions will be looked into by the Inquiry.
Your suggestion that the Inquiry should look into the Jehovah's Witness religion has been logged and may be considered further.
Excellent news. I hope that others here will join us in emailing the Independent Inquiry, and ask them to investigate Jehovah's Witnesses. The more suggestions that are logged, the better!
(I mentioned the Charity commission inquiry in my most recent email.)
Please help out, people..
The ongoing Australian Royal commission exposé of their 'medieval' child abuse policies did not happen by magic..

Okay, thanks Memphis, lol. I'm quite the fool, I guess..
In my defence, it was 1am in UK, and I was simultaneously sending a massive email explaining the dangers and worldwide child abuse policies of JW's to the Independent Inquiry for Child abuse in England and Wales. Sent them every news link in UK relating to it, and the confidential items released by the ARC. Tried to tell them its the same worldwide. See what reply I get..
Here's the contact details for Warwick city councils.

Medieval and bizzare is one way to describe the process.
Cruel and dangerously ignorant is another..
When the 17-year-old complained to church elders of being raped [by her father], two of her father’s friends carried out the investigation.
“Did you enjoy it?” she said she was asked. When she was forced to repeat the allegations in front of her father, he said, according to her: “You seduced me.”

lostwun here, i joined 2 months ago but am now just finding the courage after doing more research to formally introduce myself to the board and embrace my new beginnings as an ex-jw.
i am a second-generation jw.
i grew up with parents who are well known and very respected in many circuits.
had doubts about the organization for awhile but those doubts really came to a head last year when i saw..the constant stress of gaining titles within the organization and reporting time. If you didn't hold a title of reg pioneer/ms/ elder than basically you are nothing and that type of thinking never sat well with me.
I hear ya. This really got on my nerves at the time as well.

Don't give up on your husband, you love him and he may wake up one day.
It took Jgnat 12 years until her husband left the 'truth', but she managed to help him find his true self..
within the first few minutes, mr. stewart asked geoffrey jackson if the members of the governing body consider themselves to be god's spokesperson on earth.. his response: "that would be presumptuous of us" (implying that they don't consider themselves to be god's sole channel of communication).. to me, that was the worst lie of about 26 lies he's told during this hearing.
however, mr. stewart missed an opportunity to call out mr. jackson on this bold-faced lie.
he should have asked him to explain why the watchtower magazine teaches otherwise.
When will Geoffrey get questioned again? It doesn't say in the RC website
Great question!!
Can you email them and ask?
I had presumed they could not do that.. Besides, he won't be in the country forever.
